Computer Memory Could Become Up To 1000 Times Faster With Terahertz Radiation

Terahertz Radiation, or T-rays, is capable of bringing computer memory to a completely new era. Researchers found out that using T-rays instead of a magnetic field to perform cell-resets in computer memory, the memory could work up to 1000 times faster. Terahertz radiation is still in its infancy. It occupies a radiation band placed between microwaves and infrared light, with wavelengths placed between 1 mm and 0.1 mm, with frequencies between 0.3 to 3 terahertz. Terahertz radiation is used today in airport body scanners, and its capability to make devices see through objects was used in a research at MIT
